Raven Young's Blog "Raven's Brain" Has Moved to www.RavensBrain.com

Welcome to the newly relocated Raven's Brain, a blog from Raven Young. If you're not familiar with my old blog and/or what I write about, take a look at the categories at right and dig around. If you're a regular subscriber that has updated to the NEW FEED - Nice to see you and - Hey! You can now leave comments stress free!

Changes:

My old space was hosted at Windows Live Spaces (WLS)at http://ravenyoung.spaces.live.com/ (this is now referred to as "Raven's Brain V1.0"), and the web address is for the old blog is still "live". I plan on keeping all content hosted there in tact and porting over the really, really good stuff (I'll release these retro posts a little at a time so as not to overwhelm). Over 1,300+ pages have been indexed by google in the last 30-something months at Raven's Brain V1.0 and there is still a ton of excellent, relevant information in each of the categories at that blog. If you want to nitty gritty on why I'm leaving, read the post Raven's Brain - Lost In Transition. I might extend my thoughts on why I left WLS for Blogger, but I think the post makes it pretty clear.

From here I hope to build up my audience beyond the levels of RBV1.0:

This blog currently has over 230 subscribers via Feedburner, 100 subscribers at Bloglines, 50-something at NewsGator, and numerous links and references from other blogs. I'm averaging 1,000 page views a day, over 30,000 visits a month...

And the numbers are actually a little higher - Feedburner today is showing a total of 268 subscribers and I have no way of determining how many web sites and blogs linked to the site beyond what Technorati captures, which is only as reliable as it's subscribers. I'm sure my google juice will grow along with Raven's Brain v2.0.

I'll be adding to this site and updating things as I determine what works and what doesn't. There are a few known issues with my blogger template which I am tracking down. Hopefully there'll be minimal dust while this site is the final stages of construction - finishing touches really!

Thanks for stopping by!

Thanks Glen and Bas! I think I've gotten more comments at this site in two days than the entire 3 years I was on the MSFT platform!
